Avoid a Crime Act – VacationĀ is a wonderful time to relax and leave all the routines. Yet we are often faced problems such as crime on the trip. Here are seven steps to crime prevention when you’re enjoying the beauty of the holiday.
- Do research on your destination before traveling there to find areas where you should avoid at night and certain hours.
- Make photocopies of credit cards, driver’s license, airline tickets and your passport before leaving the house, then give copies to family members not traveling with you. If your document is stolen while on vacation, you can contact them to obtain the information you need.
- Take only a little cash, and minimize the time to withdraw money from an ATM at your place of vacation. Instead use a credit or debit card.
- Do not put valuables and important documents in your hotel room. Put it all together into a sealed envelope and give it to the clerk for protection against crime if your room is considered unsafe.
- Try to socialize in your community as often as possible.
- Stay alert to suspicious behavior. Pickpockets often gathered around a tourist and trying to divert attention to steal purses and other valuables.
- Do not consume too much alcohol. Drunken tourists are the main target of thieves
