Find as much information as possible about your destination country through websites, magazines, brochures, travel agents or relatives who visited the country. Information you should know before a trip is:
a. Travel Warning
Before determining the destination to a country, make sure that the country is not included in the warning list.
b. Seasons and weather
Find information about current season in country that will be headed for the adjustment of clothes you will take.
c. Language
Find information about the international language used. It is better to bring a dictionary to know the local language commonly used.
d. Currency
Find information about the local currency, exchange rate and income per capita, to know how much money will be spent during the trip.
e. Visitor attractions.
Find information about tourist places of interest which you can visit.
f. Hotel and transport.
Find information about the type of transport and hotel rates that match your budget. Do not forget to make hotel room reservations and provide two credit cards.
g. Airlines.
Find the flight that led to the country and do purchase tickets in advance before the day of departure. You should know the time difference between countries that will go to, it’s really important to be able to make calls as normal and face the Jet lagged because the time difference.
h. Rules and restrictions.
Find information on rules and restrictions to bring in certain goods into the country you will visit. For example, do not bring meat to the Australian and United States, do not carry cigarettes to Malaysia in large quantities. i. Passports and Visas.
Do check the validity of your passport, valid at least one year. Needs to know that some countries not accept even the validity of the passport is still for one year. Visa to the embassy of destination country should be made one month or at least 2 weeks before departure.
